As Salaam alaikum [peace be upon you]. My name is Umar Hakim-Dey, Principal Founder of INKERIJ and Consulting Director for Intellect, Love and Mercy Foundation. I'm thankful to the leaders of this project for selecting the voices to participate on this project to be shared. 

I met my appointment with Al-Islam in 1998, July 3rd. And on that day or the days leading up to that, I read in the Qur’an, Allah will not change the condition of a people until they change their condition in their heart. That line affected me. That verse affected me to the point I had to redefine, reiterate and just rethink my approach to life. 

So working as a consultant director, we have a program called Humanitarian Day. And on this day, it's like a health fair for the homeless, and we organize communities to come together to share. One of the most beautiful things about this project. It's about sharing from the heart and why we share from the heart. Is it because we read something in the Qur’an? Is it because we want to show off? I think it's because we are seeking the blessings of having the capacity to give and to share from a whole hearted state of mind. 

So with that being said, whoever listens to this audio and reads the different narratives of this project, know that we are whole hearted individuals who have submitted to the Most High to receive his blessings for sharing wholeheartedly. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
